Republic Services is seeking a Lead Gate Attendant/Scale Operator in Indiana. You will monitor waste volumes entering the site, collect fees, and coordinate activities with the Operations Clerk, Supervisor, and Manager.

The role ensures adherence to policy and regulatory requirements while maintaining accuracy in daily records, receipts, and waste documentation. You will supervise staff and support continuous improvement at the scale house.

Qualifications

• Strong time management to complete duties safely and efficiently.
• Clear communication with management and staff about operations.
• Ability to follow through on tasks and meet schedules.
• Adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Experience handling cash and balancing receipts.
• Comfort with computers and multiple software programs.
• Previous experience in the waste services industry.

Responsibilities

• Review special waste files and manifests for accuracy.
• Perform radiation testing at the scale house weekly where applicable.
• Coordinate with Operations on schedules and staff assignments.
• Estimate hour requirements to meet production needs and adjust procedures.
• Direct staff, train new employees, and ensure shift readiness.
