Job summary

Republic Services in Idaho is seeking a Gate Attendant/Scale Operator to monitor waste volumes and collect appropriate fees. You will determine content for billing, accept or reject loads, and manage payments with receipts.

The role requires documenting waste with scales and computer systems, and coordinating with operations on special loads. The position involves phone inquiries, maintaining a clean work area, and performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in a position that required handling cash and balancing receipts.
• Experience with computers and various software programs.

Responsibilities

• Determine content of material entering facility to properly bill the customer.
• Accept or reject waste loads based on content and advise on alternatives.
• Receive payments and issue receipts to customers.
• Balance daily receipts and deposit them into the depository.
• Document waste entering the facility using scales and computer systems.
• Notify operations of special waste loads and process required paperwork.
• Answer telephone and provide general information to callers.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
