Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Gate Attendant/Scale Operator at our facility to accurately monitor and record waste volumes and collect applicable fees from customers. You will assess loads, bill customers, and ensure proper receipt handling at the scale and through computer systems.

The role requires cash-handling experience, basic computer skills, and a focus on accurate recordkeeping. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities within a large U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience in a position that required handling cash and balancing receipts.
• Experience with computers and various software programs.

Responsibilities

• Determine content of material entering facility to properly bill the customer.
• Accept or reject waste load based on content; suggest alternatives.
• Receive payments and provide receipts; balance daily receipts.
• Document waste entering the facility using truck scales and computer systems.
• Notify operations of special waste and process paperwork as needed.
• Answer the telephone and provide general information to callers.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
