Job summary

National Grid is hiring a Senior Supervisor for its New England Gas Business in Braintree, MA. This onsite role managesInstrumentation and Regulation resources to optimize efficiency and safety, supervising field teams and coordinating emergency responses.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of gas ops experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong communication skills, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree and supervisory background.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of gas operations experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field employees engaged in pressure regulation, instrumentation and gas conditioning activities.
• Perform mandated inspections and testing.
• Perform safety observation tours and conduct safety meetings.
• Ensure established targets are tracked and met.
• Administer performance reviews, positive discipline and absenteeism policies.
• Train field employees in pressure regulation, odorization and instrumentation.
• Respond to all gas emergencies, by mobilizing and coordinating activities of a large and mobile workforce.
