Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking a Lead Service Technician to maintain, repair and troubleshoot natural gas compression equipment in the Field. You will lead Field Service Technicians, mentor junior staff and ensure equipment uptime per contracts.

Travel up to 75% is expected, with on-site work at customer locations. Strong safety, mechanical, and electrical knowledge plus the ability to work independently are required for this role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of gas compression experience with CAT/Ariel/Cummins preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR history.
• Strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with customers and vendors.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and mentor FSTs.
• Proficient in reading technical manuals and applying safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, start-ups, major maintenance, and diagnostic repair on gas compression equipment.
• Lead Field Service Technicians and aid in their technical development.
• Ensure run time compliance with contractual agreements for Area units.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and coordinate with ASM.
• Operate company vehicle safely and maintain good housekeeping and safety standards.
• Assist in supervisory duties in ASM's absence and support recruitment efforts.
