Job summary

Saliense is hiring a Lead Software Developer to spearhead the design and development of complex software solutions for the Office of Naval Research program in Arlington, VA. The role is 100% onsite (5 days/week) at ONR in Arlington and requires an active Secret clearance or current interim clearance.

The candidate will define architecture, evaluate tools, and drive implementation across full software lifecycle, collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to meet timelines and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 10+ years of professional software development with full lifecycle delivery.
• At least 3 years in a lead developer role.
• Active Secret Clearance or current interim clearance.
• IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent).
• AWS Cloud Native Services and CI/CD tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement software architecture and design patterns.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to improve efficiency.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code; lead code reviews and QA.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues and bottlenecks.
• Optimize software for performance, security, and scalability.
