Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Lead Software Engineer in the Automation Department of R&D in Pullman, WA.

You will own software development across the stack—from Go back end to React front end—running in Kubernetes and containers, with a strong emphasis on security and reliability for critical infrastructure automation. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, design robust architectures, and drive CI pipelines while delivering high-quality products.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in full-stack development using Kubernetes, Docker, Go, and React.
• Ownership of software development and testing from conception to product release.
• Collaborative, small-team environment on in-office projects.

Responsibilities

• Understand user scenarios with Application and UX engineers.
• Develop full stack features using Go back end and React front end.
• Design and deploy containerized apps in Kubernetes clusters.
• Build and maintain CI pipelines for new product features.
• Focus on secure, high-quality software for critical infrastructure automation.
