Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in the Automation Department of R&D in Pullman, WA. You’ll drive end-to-end software development for critical infrastructure, combining Go, React, and Kubernetes in a multi-disciplinary team.

You will own the development and testing processes, collaborate with UX and application engineers, and design secure, robust solutions for automation and monitoring across our ruggedized systems and virtual environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in full-stack development.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Go, and React.
• Ability to own the software development and testing process end-to-end.
• Experience in small, collaborative teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Application and UX engineers to understand user scenarios and customer use cases.
• Develop full-stack features using Go back-end, React front-end, and containerized services.
• Design and deploy containerized apps in a Kubernetes cluster.
• Implement OS services on SEL devices or virtualized environments.
• Apply threat modeling, static analysis, vulnerability scanning, and fuzz testing for security.
