You will own software development across the stack—from Go back end to React front end—running in Kubernetes and containers, with a strong emphasis on security and reliability for critical infrastructure automation. Lead Software Engineer in the Automation Department of R&D

As a Lead Software Engineer in the Automation Department of R&D, you’ll work on innovative software systems for critical infrastructure that support everyday life, from critical, life-saving operations to everyday tasks, like flipping a light switch.

Typical day might include the following:

• Work with Application and User Experience engineers to understand user scenarios and customer use cases.
• Develop using the full software stack: from microservices implemented in go, to beautiful, responsive web frontends implemented with React and JavaScript.
• Design and deploy containerized applications that run in a Kubernetes cluster.
• Implement operating system services running on SEL’s ruggedized computers or in virtualized environments.
• Employ threat modeling, static analysis, vulnerability scanning, fuzz testing and other methods to ensure the products being developed meet the highest standards for quality and security.
• Build and maintain CI pipelines to build and test new product features.

Pay Range Data: Lead Software Engineer: $115, 300 - $170,400
