Job summary

Amazon AWS Development Center is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer for a new security service. The role focuses on designing and delivering a greenfield AI-driven security product, leading teams, and mentoring engineers to produce high-quality, scalable software.

As a Senior SDE, you will shape the architecture and implementation of the security management system, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities and ensure robust, secure solutions for AWS

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Design and implement key features of the security management system using Rust and/or Java.
Lead and influence teams of developers to deliver global, highly available, and scalable services.
Apply advanced security techniques to enhance the system's defenses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technology into the security management process.
