Job summary

CableCom, LLC in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground to lead FTTH in-home and SMB installation teams. You will oversee field staff, coordinate scheduling, and assist the Project Manager on large-scale projects.

The role emphasizes safety, hands-on leadership, and process improvements to ensure quality and timely results. Prior fiber or cable installation and supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year fiber optic or cable installation experience.
• Able to perform mandatory job-site safety inspections and enforce policies.
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule and adapt to fluctuating priorities.
• Experience in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments and handling multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of FTTH in-home and SMB installation technicians.
• Coach, counsel, and evaluate field staff performance.
• Coordinate scheduling, assist dispatch with daily routing and staffing.
• Identify problems and communicate solutions to the Project Manager.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve team operations.
• Assign duties and ensure scope of authority to technicians.
• Assist in recruitment, training, and warehousing/logistics support as needed.
• Establish and maintain project reporting and documentation standards.
• Track performance, tools, vehicles, uniforms, and consumables with spreadsheets.
• Perform quality control inspections and coach on issues.
• Interface with customers to resolve complaints arising from installations.
