$165,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Position Overview

We are a stealth start-up that is rapidly growing and looking to bring on a Lead Frontend Engineer. This role is of high importance to the organization and will take ownership of the development, architecture, and delivery of the frontend applications. You will lead a team of frontend engineers and work closely with product, design, and backend teams to create user interfaces that enhance our AI models.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation, development, and maintenance of single-page web apps with Nest.js and Vue.
• Establish and uphold best practices in testing, performance optimization, code quality, and component architecture.
• Mentor and assist frontend engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and continuous feedback.
• Collaborate with back-end developers, designers, and product managers to deliver top-notch features.
• Transform UI/UX wireframes into accessible, aesthetically pleasing, and performant user experiences.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and front-end build processes to ensure scalable, quick, and maintainable deployments.
• Stay updated with front-end trends and the Vue ecosystem, promoting innovation and improvement.
• Ensure user-centric performance and design across all platforms and browsers.

What You Need

• 5+ years of relevant frontend experience
• 1+ years in a technical leadership or mentorship role
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Extensive experience with Vue.js and libraries such as Vuex, XState, or other state management tools
• Experience architecting frontend applications using MVVM or similar patterns
• Knowledge of SPA architecture, data flow design, and API integrations
• Experience with build tools like Vite and Webpack, and performance optimization
• Ability to translate UI/UX specifications into efficient code
• Experience creating and managing end-to-end and unit tests (e.g., Cypress, Jest)

Nice To Have

• Experience with WebGL or Three.js, especially for AI visualization
• Knowledge of spatial data tools and GIS mapping, e.g., ArcGIS
• Understanding of WCAG accessibility guidelines and inclusive design
• Portfolio or contributions to open-source Vue.js projects
• Experience leading front-end projects for data-heavy or AI applications
