Job summary

Beacon AI in California is seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer to provide technical leadership and own critical frontend initiatives for our aviation safety platform. You will shape high-impact web interfaces, collaborate with product, design, and backend teams, and drive best practices across the frontend stack.

Ideal candidates have 9+ years shipping user-facing apps, strong React/TypeScript expertise, and a track record of delivering scale and performance in fast-moving environments.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience building and shipping high-performance, user-facing web apps.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern web standards (HTML/CSS).
• Strong experience with asynchronous frontend patterns and live/historical data streams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement React-based features and frontend systems for large-scale data.
• Integrate, process, and visualize data from live streams and archives.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices through code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Collaborate with backend, product, and UX/UI teams to make informed design decisions.
• Ensure maintainable frontend systems with automated testing, documentation, and standards.
• Build reusable components and libraries to accelerate future development.
