Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a frontend engineer to build the design system underpinning the company’s products. You will work on the component library, tokens, and interaction patterns used across web and mobile platforms.

You'll design core primitives, author the design-token pipeline, and collaborate with designers to translate Figma systems into robust, accessible components. You’ll ensure consistency and quality across hundreds of consuming surfaces and teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building production frontend.
• Experience with a design system or shared UI platform.
• Strong React and TypeScript, and CSS.
• Working accessibility knowledge (WCAG, ARIA).
• Ability to collaborate with designers on the visual and interaction language.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core primitives with APIs that stay coherent as consumers multiply.
• Migrate product surfaces onto shared primitives without breaking them.
• Build accessible components by default – keyboard, focus, contrast, screen readers – backed by automated coverage.
• Support consuming teams through docs and visual regression coverage.
