Job summary

Mondrio is seeking a Design Engineer to elevate interaction quality and coherence across our AI-enabled frontend. You will own the design system, design tokens, and a shadcn/ui-based component library, collaborating with engineers and pricing architects to ship polished experiences.

You will work with the executive team to define patterns, enforce accessibility, and ensure the frontend remains thin but highly polished across Slack and Teams integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building product interfaces and design systems.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS.
• Experience owning a design system or component library.
• Strong eye for typography, motion, and micro-interactions.
• Advocates accessibility and WCAG guidelines in code.

Responsibilities

• Own design system: design tokens, shadcn/ui-based library, Tailwind conventions.
• Shape brand identity of conversational agents within Slack/Teams integrations.
• Define React Query, React Hook Form, Zod patterns for consistent PRs.
• Enforce accessibility as part of brand guidelines and code rules.
• Own frontend tooling: lint rules, Playwright E2E coverage, performance.
• Collaborate with founders on brand in product.
