Job summary

Kroger in Kirkland, WA is hiring for a Front End Operations role focused on day-to-day store operations and customer service excellence. You will support Front End, Customer Service Center and Accounting, training staff and implementing process improvements while upholding Kroger's core values.

You'll work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed, with responsibilities spanning people management, merchandising, inventory and cash control, and ensuring a safe, pleasant shopping environment

Qualifications

• Willing to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, or nights as the work demands.
• Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed (emphasis on Prime Time).
• Store retail experience with an emphasis on customer service and front-end operations.
• Ability to multi task and handle large workloads.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to learn a wide range of computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ACE, Supersked, etc.
• Understanding of all key components of department operations (managing people, merchandising, inventory management).
• Past work record must exhibit a high level of integrity and dependability.
• Thorough experience in customer service and all phases of front-end operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support of Front End, Customer Service Center and Accounting processes and policies.
• Explore and develop more effective and efficient processes for Front End and related areas.
• Design a cleaner, more efficient working environment for Front End and Accounting.
• Ensure safe, effective customer service across the department.
• Support training, coaching and follow-up on Key Retailing initiatives.
• Coach and train customer service managers and front end supervisors.
• Promote company initiatives and process improvements to staff.
• Maintain a well-organized, clean shopping environment at check stands, front end and service areas.
• Follow through on special assignments and perform duties as assigned.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
