For our client, we are seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.
This role will be central to delivering sophisticated technical solutions for complex customers across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. The person in this seat will own technical delivery end to end, partnering closely with customer executives, technical teams, Sales Engineering, and Product to design and implement secure, scalable architectures. The position also requires a hands-on builder who can translate complex requirements into reusable workflows, integrations, and operational improvements that strengthen customer outcomes.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $195,360 – $362,760 annually
Responsibilities
- Own technical delivery for complex customer accounts from deployment through everyday use
- Lead deployments across hybrid environments, including cloud and on-premises
- Define solution architecture for customers with complex data and security requirements
- Adapt platform behavior to align with customer data and workflows
- Build integrations across customer systems, including APIs and data platforms
- Diagnose and resolve deep technical issues across multiple layers of the stack
- Create reusable tools and playbooks to improve team efficiency
- Turn manual outcomes into repeatable workflows for operational follow-up
- Lead architecture sessions with customer executives and technical teams
- Mentor other engineers by reviewing solutions and sharing best practices
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Product teams on strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- 8-12+ years in technical, customer-facing roles such as forward-deployed engineering or solutions engineering
- Strong software engineering skills in languages such as Python, Go, or TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
- Experience deploying solutions in complex cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments
- Strong understanding of APIs, system integration, and data stores such as SQL and NoSQL
- Experience building technical solutions such as data pipelines and automations
- Fluency with AI-native developer tools and creating reusable workflows
- Strong customer presence and ability to build trust with executives and teams
