Job summary

Chembio Diagnostics, Inc. in Medford, NY, seeks a Formulations Lab Supervisor to lead the lab team, perform formulations, troubleshoot issues in real time, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on a daily basis.

You will supervise all lab activities, coordinate with Production, manage training, review batch records, and support QA through deviations, CAPA, and change control, while maintaining accurate documentation and a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field.
• Experience in the production of rapid diagnostic tests or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications; NetSuite is a plus.
• Management and quality systems coursework or training.
• Attention to detail and proficient record keeping.
• Excellent communication and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee daily formulation and laboratory activities.
• Maintain adequate inventory of chemicals, reagents, and supplies.
• Support scale-up and transfer of formulations from laboratory quantities to manufacturing-scale production.
• Collect, document, review and interpret laboratory data and process data; ensure documentation and calibration logs.
• Supervise all lab activities and ensure procedures are followed.
• Coordinate training and coaching of all lab staff.
• Review batch records and log books for accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in validation protocols for new lab equipment and procedures.
• Maintain traceability of inventory items and support QA in deviations and CAPA activities.
• Represent the Formulations department in meetings and ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
