Medical Diagnostic Laboratories, LLC is seeking an Endocrinology & Chemistry Supervisor to oversee the testing sections, ensuring accurate, timely results and compliance with CLIA, CAP, NYSDOH, and state regulations. Responsibilities include supervising bench staff, maintaining QA/QMS, validating assays, and driving continuous improvement in Endocrinology and Chemistry operations.

Qualifications

• In-depth expertise in clinical chemistry, automated immunoassay systems, and endocrinology methodologies.
• Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and NYSDOH regulatory standards.
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems and automated middleware systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, analytical troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with a focus on team engagement, accountability, and quality work habits.

Responsibilities

• Perform, verify, and release high-complexity patient testing in Endocrinology and Chemistry in strict accordance with SOPs.
• Oversee maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of analyzers and immunoassay platforms.
• Monitor QC data, Levey-Jennings charts, and Westgard rules; implement corrective actions for out-of-control events.
• Lead assay validations, method comparisons, and carryover studies prior to clinical implementation.
• Investigate, document, and resolve analytical failures and instrument downtime.
• Oversee proficiency testing programs and root-cause analyses for unacceptable results.
• Provide direct daily supervision to bench technicians and manage scheduling.
