Job summary

Medical Diagnostic Laboratories, LLC is seeking a qualified Endocrinology & Chemistry Supervisor to oversee high‑complexity testing, QA/QC programs, and daily operations in the Endocrinology and Chemistry sections. You will supervise bench staff, ensure regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, NYSDOH), and drive continuous quality improvement.

You will lead validations, maintain instrument performance, and address analytical issues while ensuring timely, accurate results and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Degree in medical technology or related life science
• 6 years laboratory experience
• Strong knowledge of CLIA/CAP/NYSDOH regulations
• Demonstrated leadership and staff development

Responsibilities

• Perform, verify, and release high-complexity testing in Endocrinology and Chemistry per SOPs
• Oversee maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of chemistry analyzers and immunoassay platforms
• Monitor QC data and Westgard rules; document corrective actions
• Lead assay validations and method comparisons prior to clinical use
• Investigate analytical failures and guide corrective actions
• Oversee PT programs and root-cause analyses for unacceptable results
• Provide direct supervision to bench technicians and ensure workflow efficiency
• Train and onboard staff; manage scheduling and competency assessments
• Serve as primary technical resource for troubleshooting and questions
• Maintain SOPs and ensure regulatory readiness
