Job summary

PAX Services Group is seeking a Foreman in Laurel, MD to lead and coordinate construction activities on commercial projects, overseeing excavation, demolition and heavy machinery while ensuring safety and quality.

This role serves as the primary liaison between project management and on-site crews, delivering schedule adherence, resource planning, and clear communication to subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years in construction with at least 2 in a supervisory role.
• Experience in excavation, commercial building, and demolition projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• Experience operating and overseeing heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily on-site construction activities including excavation and demolition.
• Schedule and supervise the use of heavy machinery to maximize productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with project managers to estimate timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Monitor progress and quality; train crew members as needed to meet specs.
• Maintain clear communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Identify and resolve issues to keep projects on schedule.
