Job summary

UC Riverside Dining Services is hiring a Senior Food Service Worker for a partial-year, 10-month schedule (Sept–June). The role includes food preparation, customer service, safety and sanitation, and general cleaning in one or more kitchen and/or dining areas, with potential leadership of student staff.

The position carries a hourly wage range of $26.69 to $33.18. Offers are based on education, licensure, certifications, and experience.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in food preparation and general maintenance/cleaning in a kitchen and/or dining area within a high volume of food service operation.
• For campus coffee shops: Minimum of 3 months experience working in a coffee shop.
• For Catering operations: Minimum of 3 months experience working in banquet events.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic; follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation, customer service, safety and sanitation, and general cleaning duties in one or more kitchen or dining areas.
• May lead a small group of student staff in a team environment.
