Job summary

The role requires solid organizational skills, the ability to handle stress, and a sanitation background. Related duties include catering support and occasional cashier tasks on site.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year.
• Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets.
• Direct daily activities and supervise employees.
• Maintain food safety and quality according to policies and department requirements.
• Ensure safe, organized storage of food items and hazard-free environment.
• Maintain serving schedules and ensure items follow menu specifications.
• Maintain sanitary department and health/safety codes.
• Maintain inventory on a weekly basis and assist with orders as needed.
• Train/mentor other food service workers and promote teamwork.
• Perform cashier duties as needed and handle catering events.
• Attend food service meetings and communicate with staff.
