Job summary

Aramark, a leading food and facilities provider, is seeking a full-time Food Service Supervisor to join our correctional services team. You will help oversee staff, coordinate with a manager, and ensure smooth operations in the facility's dining services.

Responsibilities include scheduling, daily supervision, maintaining safety and quality standards, and mentoring coworkers. Occasional night and weekend catering events may be required, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic
• Maintain emotional control under stress
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain staff work schedules.
• Direct daily activities and oversee food production.
• Maintain food safety and quality per policies.
• Store and handle food items in a safe, organized environment.
• Maintain serving schedules; ensure items served per menu specs.
• Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes.
• Maintain inventory on a weekly basis.
• Coordinate occasional orders for production needs at location.
• Supervise and evaluate employees; mentor growth and teamwork.
• Promote a safe working environment and train staff.
• Maintain logs for equipment maintenance and food safety notes.
• Support the Food Service Director or Manager as needed.
• Fill in for absent employees and support catering events.
