Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services is seeking a full-time Food Service Supervisor to lead our on-site team and coordinate daily operations. You will oversee staff, maintain schedules, and ensure food safety and quality in accordance with Aramark policies.

You will mentor workers, manage inventories, and participate in catering events as needed, while upholding health codes and promoting strong public relations.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year.
• Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes).
• Direct daily activities.
• Maintain food production that ensures safety and quality per policies, procedures, and department requirements.
• Ensure safe, organized, and hazard-free storage of food items.
• Maintain serving schedules; ensure menu specifications are followed safely.
• Maintain a sanitary department per health codes and regulations.
• Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis.
• Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel; promote growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
• Train/mentor other food service workers.
• Maintain logs on equipment maintenance within the department.
• Ensure all food safety/temperature logs are completed with corrective action as necessary.
• Perform preventative maintenance checklist and recommend equipment replacements.
• Be proficient at multitasking and assist with catering events as needed.
• Fill in for absent employees at location as necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of daily catering events and ensure on-time preparation and delivery.
• Attend food service meetings and maintain communication with staff.
