Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years in the area, including one year in lead/supervisory role.
• ServSafe Manager Certification required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to motivate staff to improve quantity and quality of work.
• Knowledge of DPH, ACA, DOE, USDA, and DJJ rules and regulations.
• Experience with the National School Lunch Program.

Responsibilities

• Direct the facility food service operation as second-in-command.
• Oversee daily operation and lead kitchen staff and floor supervisor.
• Assist with management and paperwork for audits and compliance.
• Manage weekly food orders, inventory, and budgeting considerations.
• Ensure sanitation, safety and program compliance across operations.
• Provide training and education to staff as needed.
