Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services in Madera, CA is seeking a full-time Food Service Supervisor to lead a dedicated team and coordinate daily operations. You will supervise staff, oversee scheduling, and ensure food safety and quality in a correctional facility setting, collaborating with a manager to drive effective service delivery.

You’ll maintain inventory, train teammates, and support event catering as needed, while upholding health codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course before or during first year.
• Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets.
• Direct daily activities and supervise staff.
• Maintain food safety and quality according to policies and procedures.
• Ensure safe storage and handling of all food items.
• Maintain serving schedules and adherence to menu specifications.
• Keep health and safety codes and logs up to date.
• Maintain inventory weekly and assist with ordering as needed.
• Train/mentor other food service workers and promote teamwork.
