Job summary

YMCA of the Rockies is seeking a Food Service Director to oversee all food service operations at Snow Mountain Ranch. You will ensure compliance with health regulations while managing budgets and staffing, collaborating with leadership during the camp season to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

You will lead a diverse team across dining halls, cafes, and camps, shaping menus, improving service quality, and maintaining safety standards in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Restaurant Management, Culinary Arts, Dietetics, Hotel Management, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in a high-volume food service environment.
• Operational knowledge of a wide range of food service equipment.
• ServSafe or HACCP certification.
• Ability to lift forty (40) pounds to a height of four (4) feet.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all food service outlets including: Commons Dining Hall, Buckboard Grill, Skinny Ski Café, Summer Camp Kitchen, banquets, catering, and food truck.
• Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and coach a team of ten (10) year-round and up to fifty (50) seasonal Food Service staff.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
• Plan meals and deliveries to optimize staff, facilities, and other resources to meet guest needs.
• Establish and enforce quality control systems to ensure nutritious and appealing meals.
• Develop and maintain the department budget for food production, food service-related equipment, and staffing levels.
