Job summary

YMCA of the Rockies seeks an enthusiastic Food Service Fellow to develop culinary skills and leadership under the Food Service Director, Executive Chef, and Sous Chef. You will learn menu building, stocking, pricing, and ordering within the Food & Beverage industry through personalized rotations.

You will gain hands-on experience with dining operations, kitchen teamwork, and production management while maintaining professional standards and food safety.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in written and oral English.
• Admirable time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage in rotations across conferences/weddings catering, CCO operations, and large-scale buffet service.
• Assist in menu planning, scheduling, ordering, and inventory development with outlet leadership.
• Direct food production activities, ensuring quality, portion control, and sanitation.
• Plan and prepare meals to utilize facilities and staff efficiently to meet guest needs.
• Maintain high hygienic standards and professional appearance during shifts.
• Work holidays, weekends, and varied shifts as required.
