Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to coordinate design work for fluids and propulsion systems within the Lunar Permanence unit. You will collaborate with manufacturing and design teams to address nonconformances and develop repair solutions, ensuring safety and mission success.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and a deep commitment to quality. You will work across disciplines to assess impact on strength, stiffness, fatigue, and overall integrity while maintaining

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fluids design, structural design, manufacturing engineering, and/or quality engineering for aerospace hardware.
• Experience with design of metallic and/or composite piece parts and assemblies.
• Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and ability to interpret drawings, models, and engineering specifications.
• Experience developing repair and rework solutions for nonconforming or damaged structural hardware.
• Working knowledge of design and analysis principles (loads, stress, fatigue).
• Experience working within an MRB process or similar nonconformance disposition process.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate schedule and priorities of design work for fluids and propulsion systems.
• Work with manufacturing engineers to assess nonconformances and implement solutions in real time.
• Develop repair designs, drawings, and documentation to correct issues.
• Assess impact of deviations on fluids operation and structural integrity.
• Collaborate with design, stress, quality, and manufacturing teams on disposition solutions.
• Support RCCA investigations and drive process improvements.
• Maintain nonconformance documentation and repair instructions.
• Clarify disposition intent with manufacturing and ensure proper shop floor implementation.
• Support first-article inspections and production troubleshooting for fit, form, and function.
• Identify trends in nonconformances to improve producibility and reduce recurrence.
