Job summary

Hy-Vee's Floral Department invites a skilled Floral Designer to craft beautiful arrangements, advise customers on care, and lead floral clerks. You’ll manage orders, ensure freshness, and support department operations with creativity and care.

Ideal candidates bring strong design skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to train others in a fast-paced retail setting. This is a full-time, on-site role in Missouri with opportunities to contribute to in-store events and seasonal displays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and train floral clerks.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and counsel on plant and floral care.
• Create arrangements to exact specifications for events and everyday needs.
• Lead floral clerks on shift and assign daily tasks.
• Process orders (FTD, Teleflora, interstore, internet) with confidentiality.
• Maintain freshness, stock, and inventory in the floral area.
• Assist with store events and merchandising when needed.
