Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a Floral Designer to join the Floral Department. You will create beautiful arrangements to meet customer specifications and lead floral clerks while ensuring the department is well-stocked and running smoothly.

You will handle FTD and Teleflora orders, advise customers on floral care, and support department leadership as needed in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong floral design skills and knowledge of floral products, care and handling.
• Ability to lead floral clerks in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Good numeracy for handling orders and costs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and counsel on plant and floral care, taking special requests and creating exact arrangements.
• Process and prepare flowers, wrap with care to avoid damage.
• Complete and timely order fulfillment, including weddings, funerals, and anniversaries.
• Manage FTD, Teleflora, interstore orders and keep order details confidential.
• Inventory products, check freshness, replace damaged items as needed.
• Lead floral clerks, train on simple designs and daily tasks.
