Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly motivated Flight Test Engineer to support the SCS Flight Test Team based in Patuxent River, MD. The role involves development and execution of test procedures, data analysis, and reporting on test results as part of a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates hold a STEM degree with extensive flight test experience and must possess an active Top Secret clearance. Willingness to work shifts and odd hours to accommodate testing is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline plus 12 years related professional/military experience in Flight Test OR a Master’s degree plus 10 years related professional/military experience in Flight Test.
• Active US Government Top Secret clearance is required.
• Experience generating technical documents and using MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint; familiarity with data processing tools.
• Understanding of common Test Engineering methodologies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, execution and peer review of test procedures.
• Participate in Formal and Non-Formal Test execution events.
• Participate in test planning, problem report validation testing, and post testing data analysis.
• Lead moderate size test efforts and events in support of Flight Test leadership.
• Attend and participate in all Flight Test meetings.
