Job summary

Saratech Inc is seeking a senior designer to contribute to the design, development, and integration of Flight Control Systems for advanced aircraft. You will join a team balancing creativity with experience, collaborating across structures, electrical, avionics, and certification to ensure compliant interfaces and optimal performance.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and hands-on CAD work in CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE, with exposure to DO-254, ARP4754A, and regulatory standards for Part 23/25

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in development of Flight Control Systems for Part 23/25 aircraft.
• 5+ years designing electro-mechanically actuated systems.
• Strong knowledge of FAR Part 23 certification processes.
• Experience with RTCA DO-254, ARP4754A, and Y14.100/Y14.5.
• Proven vendor coordination and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own secondary flight control system design and compliance.
• Lead trade studies to optimize architecture, weight, cost, and manufacturability.
• Coordinate with suppliers through certification and delivery.
• Define interfaces via ZRM/ICM/ICD; manage CAD and airframe integration in CATIA.
• Lead certification documentation (FTA, PSSA, SFHA, ACP).
• Provide mentorship and technical oversight to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with structures, electrical, avionics, certification, and manufacturing.
