Job summary

CTS International is seeking a Senior Flight Control Systems Integration and Safety Engineer to support operations in Everett, WA. The role requires designing, analyzing, testing and certifying flight control systems for large aircraft, with on-site requirements and FAA/NASA guidance compliance.

The candidate will decompose requirements, lead certification artifacts (SSA, FMEA, FTA), develop GNC models, perform test analysis, and coordinate with avionics, suppliers and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5–7 years of technical experience with Flight Controls.
• Experience with System Safety Analysis including FMEA, FTA; common cause analysis.
• Knowledge of ARP 4754 and ARP 4761.
• Experience with flight controls system and component architecture.

Responsibilities

• Decompose airplane level requirements into system level requirements and component requirements.
• Lead system, component and detail certification efforts with artifacts (SSA, FMEA, FTA) and traceability.
• Gathers and documents system level requirements to support flight control and mission/trajectory needs.
• Performs design, analysis, validation of GNC systems and models.
• Participates in test monitoring, data analysis, and test report authoring; coordinates with suppliers and regulators.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with avionics, safety, aerodynamics, software, and regulatory bodies.
