Job summary

Castelion seeks a Senior Control Electronics Engineer to design and deliver real-time control systems for flight-critical applications in defense technology. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to create high-performance, rugged electronics for TVC and ACS drivers, focusing on precision actuation, sensing, and robust testing.

The role requires 5+ years in aerospace or high-reliability environments, strong analog/mixed-signal skills, and the ability to thrive in a hardware-driven pace.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years designing and validating control electronics for high-reliability systems.
  • Real-time control systems and actuator electronics experience.
  • Experience designing motor/valve drivers and related electronics.
  • Proficiency in analog/mixed-signal design, simulation and analysis (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Experience with hardware bring-up, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC design and ruggedized electronics.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop real-time control electronics for flight-critical systems.
  • Lead actuator control systems architecture including motor and valve drivers.
  • Develop high-reliability analog/mixed-signal circuits for precision control.
  • Collaborate with GNC, avionics, and flight software teams for integration.
  • Perform modeling and analysis to validate performance under varying flight conditions.
  • Support hardware bring-up, debugging, and test campaigns.
  • Define qualification and flight test plans for system improvements.
  • Ensure designs meet thermal, EMI/EMC, and extreme environment requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
