Job summary

Greatjob seeks a senior Mechanic III to diagnose complex issues, perform major repairs, and lead a skilled shop team. You will mentor junior mechanics and drive high-quality outcomes across a fleet of light and landscaping equipment.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of hands-on experience, ASE/DOT certifications, and proficiency with diagnostics, schematics, and fleet software. This full-time shop role requires reliability and strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive/diesel program preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive hands-on mechanic experience.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred or willing to obtain.
• ASE/DOT/hydraulic certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete complex repairs on gasoline/diesel trucks, trailers, and landscaping equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting with advanced diagnostic tools and manufacturer resources.
• Perform DOT inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide coaching to Mechanic I and II staff and mentor junior team members.
• Accurately complete work orders and service documentation in Fleetio.
