Job summary

Cogent Analytics is seeking a skilled Fleet Operations Lead Mechanic to maintain our fleet of vehicles, equipment, and assets to ensure safety, readiness and efficiency for rapid response and restoration services.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of diesel/heavy-vehicle maintenance, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to manage maintenance schedules; CDL is preferred. Join our team to support emergency response and ensure asset availability.

Qualifications

• Certifications in commercial fleet maintenance and at least 5 years in fleet maintenance.
• Solid knowledge of vehicle maintenance schedules and diesel/heavy-vehicle maintenance, diagnosis and safety.
• Excellent communication and organization, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review preventative maintenance schedules and ensure vehicles are maintained per schedule.
• Diagnose minor mechanical/electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Address maintenance needs efficiently while complying with reporting requirements.
• Oversee emergency maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Ensure asset availability for projects and emergency responses.
• Analyze data to optimize fleet utilization and reduce downtime.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs to extend fleet lifespan.
• Enforce safety policies for fleet operation.
• Support emergency response by deploying fleet assets rapidly.
• Coordinate readiness of fleet resources for emergencies.
