Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled technician team in a high-volume shop. You will oversee preventive maintenance, repairs on diesel trucks and heavy equipment, and ensure all work complies with safety and regulatory standards.

You will schedule tasks, coach staff, and manage shop workflows to maximize uptime. The role requires 3+ years in heavy equipment maintenance with supervisory experience and ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• ASE certifications in diesel and electrical systems are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to lead technicians and ensure safe, efficient and timely repairs.
• Monitor performance and redirect activities to improve efficiency.
• Report performance and recommend process improvements.
• Supervise maintenance shop staff including training, evaluations and discipline.
• Perform inspections of external repairs to ensure safety and compliance.
• Identify training opportunities and document corrective actions with technicians.
• Conduct Quality Control inspections and track issue resolution.
• Oversee complex diagnostics and road-test vehicles when needed.
• Manage inventory control and budget compliance for parts and repairs.
