Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance shop supporting a large fleet of trucks and heavy equipment. You will supervise technicians, schedule preventive maintenance, coach staff, and ensure work complies with safety and federal/state regulations.

You’ll also manage inventory and budget, and coordinate with leadership to improve productivity and reliability. The role requires ASE certification, prior supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of diesel

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• ASE Certification required.
• 3 years of maintenance experience with heavy equipment.
• 1 year of supervisory or lead technician experience.
• Experience with DOT/OSHA and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to lead technicians and ensure safe, efficient repairs.
• Plan and schedule repair work to meet safety and productivity goals.
• Coach and train technicians; conduct performance evaluations and promotions as appropriate.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage shop budget within approved limits.
• Perform quality control inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
