Job summary

Whip is seeking a hands-on Fleet Associate in Boston to manage a rideshare vehicle fleet and keep drivers on the road. You will oversee vehicle readiness, coordinate logistics, and support day-to-day fleet operations to ensure cars are clean, maintained, and ready for use.

As a Lead Fleet Associate, you will verify vehicle status in our fleet software, liaise with central operations, and manage relationships with third-party mechanics and vendors to meet SLAs.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and organized; able to manage schedules, paperwork, and vehicle conditions.
• Hands-on and proactive; willing to roll up sleeves to get things done.
• Strong communication with drivers, mechanics, and management.
• Valid driver’s license required; may need to move vehicles or assist with deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine vehicle checks, clean interiors, and ensure cars are road-ready.
• Ensure all workflows for vehicle check-ins and check-outs are executed flawlessly.
• Serve as escalation point for vehicle issues reported by drivers to keep them on the road.
• Maintain 100% accuracy of vehicle status in fleet software and coordinate vehicle movement.
• Maintain constant communication with central operations and support teams via Slack, email, etc.
• Act as local decision-maker for third-party relationships to ensure SLAs and quality standards.
