Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories in Pullman, WA, is seeking a Lead Firmware Engineer to design, implement and test safety-critical firmware for hard real-time systems.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to SEL processes while enjoying generous benefits. This on-site role emphasizes reliability, safety, and innovation.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge in C, C++ programming languages.
  • Software development including OO design, Unit testing, Debugging.
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
  • Negative drug test results.

Responsibilities

  • Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Software Skills: RTO, Test automation, Python, Software development process (Agile)
