Job summary

SEL Inc. in Pullman, WA is seeking an engineer to design, implement, and test firmware and software systems, collaborating with Hardware Engineers.

You will work on embedded Linux, real-time firmware, and GUI applications (Windows), with C/C++, Python, and other scripting languages, and contribute to design and test documentation. Qualifications

• Must have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Embedded systems firmware development including real-time firmware design; C and assembly languages.
• GUI applications in Windows environments with object-oriented design and languages (C++, C#, Delphi, Java).
• Embedded Linux systems development using C, C++, Python and other scripting languages.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills; ability to learn new skills and work in a team.
• Background check satisfactory to SEL; negative drug test results.

Required Qualifications

One of the following:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
• Embedded systems firmware development including:
• real-time firmware design
• C and assembly languages
• Graphical User Interface applications in Window environments including:
• object oriented design
• object oriented languages (C++, C#, Delphi, Java)
• Embedded Linux systems development including:
• C, C++, Python
• Other scripting languages
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL
• Negative drug test result(s)

Pay Range Data: $84,200-$124,500

Our compensation ranges are based on the responsibilities of the role. Starting pay is determined individually and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and training. Candidates may be considered at different levels based on their background. As a result, pay may vary to align with the level of the role.
