Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Pleasanton, CA, is seeking a Sprinkler Install Lead Technician to lead installation projects, supervise technicians, and ensure compliance with NFPA standards. You will interpret blueprints, coordinate fieldwork, and maintain a safe, organized job site.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in fire and life safety, at least 3 years in a lead role, and a clean driving record. A NICET II or higher is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET II or higher preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler installation and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Support technicians and apprentices on job sites.
• Independently perform installation using hand tools and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Plan and manage individual or multiple small-scale jobs.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
• Review and complete required documentation and installation reports accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to team members.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
