Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC, in Schertz, TX, is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Superintendent to oversee complex sprinkler installations. The role combines technical expertise with strong leadership to ensure safety, quality, and on-time project delivery on site.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 9+ years in fire and life safety, 5+ years in supervision, NICET II or higher preferred, and solid knowledge of NFPA standards and installation practices. A clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 9+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician or above.
• Must have at least 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
• NICET Level II or above preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler system installation practices and applicable codes.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple jobs and/or crews in installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Coordinate complex projects to ensure timely and efficient execution.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop technicians, leads, and apprentices.
• Independently perform installation using hand tools and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
• Manage job site logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Review and approve documentation and installation reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate effectively with customers, leadership, and internal teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
