Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety seeks a Fire Sprinkler Foreman to lead residential, commercial, and industrial sprinkler installations in Annapolis, MD. You will interpret drawings, supervise crew members, and ensure flawless installations while managing materials and site paperwork.

A valid driver’s license and knowledge of fire safety principles are required. You’ll work under the Fire Sprinkler Manager, coordinate with fitters and helpers, and ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and quality

Qualifications

• Requires the ability to act in a lead capacity.
• Working knowledge of pipefitting, plumbing regulations, and fire protection codes.
• Must hold valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record to drive company vehicle.
• Ability to follow and interpret codes and regulations related to the work.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
• Ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret installation requirements using project drawings.
• Delegate tasks to fitters, mechanics and helpers to meet deadlines.
• Install and test fire suppression equipment in new or retrofit projects.
• Follow plans and communicate design changes as needed on site.
• Maintain materials and perform minor fabrication on site.
• Update daily installation progress notes on job drawings.
