Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Foreman to lead installation teams on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will interpret project drawings, delegate tasks, and ensure the complete installation and testing of fire suppression systems on site.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of pipefitting, plumbing regulations, and fire protection codes, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of pipefitting, plumbing regulations, and fire protection codes.
• Must hold valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record to be approved to drive company vehicle.
• Ability to display knowledge of principles and practices of fire safety.
• Ability to display knowledge of codes and regulations related to the work.
• Ability to act in a lead capacity.
• Ability to recognize and report deviations through inspection programs.

Responsibilities

• Use project drawings to interpret installation requirements accurately.
• Delegate tasks to fitters, mechanics and assistants to meet deadlines and goals.
• Install and test fire suppression equipment in new or retrofit projects.
• Follow plans and communicate design changes to fit site requirements.
• Maintain materials, update daily installation progress notes, and manage paperwork.
• Instruct and train helpers and apprentices on installation processes.
