Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Superintendent to lead field activities for sprinkler installation projects. You will coordinate schedules from pre-construction through rough-in and final hand-off, ensuring adherence to safety programs and quality standards on multiple sites.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication with customers and internal teams, and the ability to manage crews, materials, and schedules while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred.
• 10 years’ experience installing fire sprinkler systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Customer service and billing experience preferred.
• Must be able to travel locally 90% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Schedule all field activities, beginning with the pre-construction meeting, coordinating with sales and design personnel.
• Schedule manpower weekly and project-wide for at least a 3 month horizon.
• Ensure all material, plans, and information are provided to the Foreman before the job starts.
• Coordinate with purchasing and ensure materials are ordered and delivered.
• Purchase or rent equipment needed for each job.
• Participate in weekly progress meetings and report on rough-in and completion percentages.
• Follow up on punch-lists and obtain customer sign-off.
• Report scheduling delays, personnel issues and safety concerns to supervisor promptly.
• Review time sheets and training records for accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure field employees comply with job requirements and tasks.
• Coordinate with Recruiting for hiring field personnel and maintain tool inventories.
• Maintain company-provided vehicle and ensure tools are maintained and labeled accordingly.
