Job summary

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing facility in New Albany, Ohio. The Fire Protection & Life Safety Systems Subcontract Technical Representative (STR) oversees the field execution of fire protection and life-safety systems, ensuring safe installation, testing, integration, and turnover in alignment with project requirements.

The STR coordinates with engineering, quality, ES&H, procurement, construction, and AHJs to meet IMCS standards, codes, and schedule goals while maintaining

Qualifications

• NFPA fire protection standards familiarity.
• FM Global requirements knowledge.
• Reading Isometrics, P&ID’s and plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and technical oversight of Fire Protection subcontractors.
• Ensure systems are designed, installed, tested, and documented per IMCS and codes.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables: LOD400, hydraulic/VESDA calculations, BIM coordination, shop drawings.
• Oversee installation and integration of fire alarm, VESDA, sprinkler, and life-safety systems.
• Interface with multiple teams (Engineering, ES&H, Quality, Startup, AHJs) to ensure turnover.
