Job summary

Thompson Safety, Llc, based in Broomall, PA, seeks a Fire Protection Inspections Manager to lead the inspection and testing operations for life-safety systems. You will oversee inspectors, coordinate scheduling, review documentation, and ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.

Travel may be required to AHJs and customer sites. You will hire, train, coach, and manage staff, conduct field audits, and maintain licenses, certifications, and safety records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of fire protection inspection experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and fire codes.
• Ability to read inspection reports and drawings.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the fire protection inspection department, including staffing, scheduling, workload distribution, and field support.
• Directly supervise inspection personnel and provide leadership, direction, coaching, and performance management.
• Identify employee training needs and coordinate technical, safety, regulatory, and professional development opportunities.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, promotion, discipline, and termination decisions in accordance with company policies.
• Conduct regular field observations and quality-control audits to ensure inspectors are performing work correctly and professionally.
• Ensure employees have tools, equipment, vehicles, certifications, licenses, and training.
• Review inspection reports for accuracy, code compliance, and quality; document deficiencies and drive corrective action.
